🧘‍♀️ Yoga, Sea and Serpentines: How We Discovered Kaş for RivieraBus

Before launching a new destination, Artem and I always like to test the route ourselves. We carefully plan the trip, take a flight, rent a car upon arrival, drive the entire way, meet partners, and capture photos and videos. All so that our guests don't just use another transfer but feel it as part of their journey. That's how it was with Croatia's Dalmatia, the French Riviera, and the Phoenician coast of modern-day Lebanon. Antalya and Kaş were no exception. But this trip was special. And I want to tell you about it not as a business owner, but as someone who found something more in Kaş than just another beautiful town on the Mediterranean coast.

✈️ How It All Began

We flew into Antalya in early March 2026. We rented a car and decided to drive the entire route of our regular Antalya — Kaş shuttle service from start to finish. With stops and no rush at all.

We were incredibly lucky with the weather. During the day it was truly warm, even hot at times. The windbreaker stayed in the backpack, and the sun shone as if it were July.

The road along the coast is a love affair in itself. Winding roads, the sea on one side, mountains on the other, small towns, orange groves, and the scent of pine. The most beautiful and winding section is between Demre and Finike. Travelers can enjoy similar views in Kaş itself.

We stayed in Kaş for three days. And we chose a hotel that I remember with warmth to this day.

🧘 The Place That Changed Everything

We checked into Luna Kaş — a hotel with panoramic views of the sea and harbor. At the reception, I immediately noticed something pleasant: an open wooden terrace under a light canopy overlooking the endless blue, a few yoga mats, and an atmosphere of complete privacy.

It turned out the hotel often hosts yoga groups. And on the day we checked in, one was just arriving — the girls were staying in the neighboring rooms.

I asked, "May I join?"

And they invited me.

Three practices — morning and evening. With views of the sea, the sound of waves, and a light breeze. These were not just practices. Solitude with nature in pleasant company, where each of the girls could simply be themselves, without shyness or inhibitions. But one furry spectator was still present.

🏛 Practice at the Ancient Amphitheater

One of the sessions took place not at the hotel, but on the stage of the ancient amphitheater, right in the stone bowl descending in steps to the sea, from the upper tiers of which you get a stunning view of the Mediterranean, the city, and the Greek island of Kastellorizo.

The amphitheater is located on a peninsula 500 meters from the center of Kaş and is the only structure of its kind in Anatolia built right on the seashore.

We came early in the morning. The city was still asleep. There were no tourists. Just us, our mats, and a few awakened cats.

The amphitheater is positioned so that from the upper rows you have a view of the sea, greenery, and ancient walls. When you are concentrated on meditation, your gaze loses focus, and thoughts begin to scatter like ripples on water.

My advice: if you go to Kaş for yoga practice, be sure to climb to the very top step. The photos and videos turn out incredible. And no one will disturb you if you come early in the morning.

🌊 A Small Cove Where You Want to Stay

After the morning practice at the amphitheater, we went for a walk along the shore and stumbled upon a small, secluded cove next to the public beach of Kaş.

There are almost no people there. Even in March, we went swimming — the water was bracing, but it was worth it. If you come in summer, go early, before the crowds and the heat. Bring water, a mat, and a book. This cove is made for silence.

🏃 Running, Workout, and Coffee Shops with Character

Kaş turned out to be an ideal place not only for yoga but also for active movement.

One sunny morning, we put on our sneakers and ran around the peninsula. The entire route was accompanied by views of the sea, yachts, flowering trees, and houses clinging to the slopes. After the run, a workout at the sports ground, where Artem filmed several videos for his telegram channel turnik_on_tour. Locals and tourists exercise together — the atmosphere is very friendly.

And after a run or practice, be sure to visit the Linckia coffee shop — a pleasant place with its own coffee roasting. Unique drink recipes, local flavors from local ingredients, and a large selection of Ice options for those who want to refresh after the sun.

🧘 A Small Practice Shared with Me in Kaş

During one of the evening practices on the hotel terrace, the instructor said a simple thing that I now repeat to myself always:

"If during a moment of meditation a thought bothers you — don't chase it away. Focus, hear your mind, and simply say to yourself: 'thought'."

This allows you not to waste energy on resisting and fighting your own thoughts and helps you manage your consciousness. As soon as you acknowledge the presence of any thought in your head, it will let you go. And you will continue to relax your mind further.

Try it. It works.

✨ Insight and a Yoga Tour to Kaş

I was absolutely delighted with the format of the yoga tour, its organization, and the atmosphere I was able to immerse myself in during the sessions and conversations with the organizing girls. As it turned out, this wasn't their first tour in this charming place, and they have another women's yoga retreat planned, starting at the end of May.

I confidently recommend this tour, sharing the announcement and contacts if the topic of yoga practices and travel to Kaş resonates with you and you've long wanted to combine them. Slow down, recover, and spend time in a beautiful place by the sea in the company of like-minded women.

✨ Epilogue

Kaş turned out to be more than just a beautiful port town. It's a place where you want to slow down. Where yoga becomes not just a practice, but a way of life. Where cats join you for practice in the morning, and in the evening, the lanterns magically light up by themselves.

We will definitely return. And I invite you not to put off getting to know this beautiful and colorful town.
